DYSPORT TREATMENT NEW JERSEY
Dysport is a popular and highly effective treatment for achieving a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance. At NJENT, we offer Dysport injections administered by our skilled and experienced team of healthcare professionals.
What is Dysport?
Dysport is an FDA-approved prescription injection that temporarily relaxes the muscles responsible for causing wrinkles and lines on the face. It is derived from the same botulinum toxin type A as Botox and works in a similar way by inhibiting muscle contractions. Dysport is primarily used to treat dynamic wrinkles, which are caused by repetitive facial expressions.
Before the Dysport procedure, a thorough consultation will take place to assess your desired outcome and determine the appropriate treatment plan. This simple in-office procedure for the treatment of wrinkles via Dysport begins with the placement of ice or a numbing agent on the areas to be treated. We will then map out the location of the injections after reviewing your individual muscle movement of the face. The injections are placed at the site of maximal muscle movement. The injections are quick and typically cause minimal discomfort, often described as a slight pinching sensation.
Benefits of Dysport
- Smooths Facial Wrinkles: Dysport is highly effective in reducing the appearance of forehead lines, frown lines (glabellar lines), and crow’s feet. By targeting the underlying muscles, Dysport provides a more relaxed and refreshed appearance, restoring a youthful look.
- Natural-Looking Results: Dysport can provide natural-looking results. It softens wrinkles and lines without completely freezing facial expressions, allowing you to maintain your unique range of movements and expressions.
- Quick and Convenient: Dysport injections are a minimally invasive procedure that can be completed in a short office visit. The procedure typically takes only a few minutes, making it an ideal choice for individuals with busy schedules.
- Little to No Downtime: Following a Dysport treatment, there is minimal downtime required. Most patients can resume their normal activities immediately after the procedure. Some temporary redness or slight bruising at the injection site is possible but typically resolves quickly.
- Long-Lasting Effects: Dysport results are noticeable within a few days after treatment and can last for up to four months. Over time, with repeated treatments, the longevity of each session may increase, potentially extending the time between touch-up appointments.
Possible Dysport Side Effects
Botox is FDA-approved and has a long-standing track record of safety. Side effects, if any, are typically mild and temporary, such as slight bruising or redness at the injection site. Minimal bruising and swelling are seen.
